The Hope we have in HIS Word

The hope we have in God's word. Isn't that amazing? So many people use every other thing to solve their problems and forget the most important- the creator of the universe and his word with a wealth of knowledge to answer any problem we could ever have. Granted it's not a pick up and turn to the answer strategy, but more of a sit and meditate (ponder) his word like David says in Psalm 1:2 "But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night." Don't get me wrong I believe you can open the Bible to the exact page and find a word from God, it's happened to me before, but sitting down and spending some quality time is where the real answers come from.

I have recently came to a scripture that has really helped me grasp on God's hope he has in his word. In Psalm 119:49 the psalmist wrote "Remember the word to Thy servant, in which Thou hast made me hope." The WORD in which Thou has made me HOPE. I just went over that a few times and really gave thought to how much word I really cling to in my time of need. Is scripture and Christ what you cling to in your time of need, or do you try to fly solo and turn to yourself or ungodly advice. Really makes you think does it not?

I would like to encourage you. Whatever your need or desire is, get a verse and pray and meditate on it. Are you seeking after Christ and looking for more? Matthew 5:6 "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied." Are you burdened with sin and the heavy load of them? Isaiah 43.25 "I, even I am the one who wipes out your transgressions for My own sake; and I will not remember your sins." Have you lost the presence of the Savior or his closeness and seeking him sorrowfully? Malachi 3:7 "Return to me, and I will return to you." Isaiah 54:7 "For a brief moment have I forsook you, but with great compassion will I gather you."

There are tons and tons of more scriptures that fit anything you're going through. The psalms are filled with David’s cries to his Holy God. Pick up a concordance and look for the word that you troubled with and search deep and meditate on His word and he will make a break through if you're willing. God Bless
